Southern Evia is a hikers dream. Add at your booking an organized tour to the Dimosaris or Charakas gorge and prepare yourself for an unforgettable experience.

Mt. Ochi and the gorges of Demosaris, Charakas, Agios Dimitrios and Archampoli provide a backdrop of thick forests, rocky cliffs, refreshing waterfalls and dazzling pools of water to enchant walkers of all abilities. The fact that most trails lead to hidden, pristine beaches is a plus, though one of the greatest advantages of hiking throughout the region is that it can be done year-round.

If you want to enjoy easier and closer destinations, you could walk through the following paths and ways.

  1. Follow the small path opposite “The House of Prince” till you reach the square of Styra with the Church, the tavern and the little shops. From there you can walk through the village, visit the great fountain and find your way home making a big “imaginary” circle.
  2. Visiting the villages kagkadeoi or kapsala on foot through the inner paths is also a great idea if you want to see the nearby settlements, the local architecture and the nature of the surrounding area.
  3. At the time of sunset you could start from the Dryopes` Workshop of Arts and Culture at new harbour and walk by the sea till Kefala.
  4. You will also have to park your car somewhere near and then walk to see the drakospita, the castle of armenon and many other sightseeings. You can read more details about some sightseeings of the area under the section Location.
